I Updated Facebook and now It Won't Work | New 2019

Got this myself on my phone, and it just refused to update. Below's what worked for me.

Edit: this seems to be an issue that Facebook understand. It's an issue with the Facebook application, and also not a generalised Play Store issue.

This is what worked for me at least.

  1. Settings > Apps > All > Google Play Store, Clear information and Clear cache

  2. Settings > Applications > All > Google Play Solutions > Manage area, Clear all data as well as Clear cache


It doesn't harmed if you reboot your phone prior to you try updating facebook again. And, the install was SLOW. Simply a minimum of 4-5 mins. But, it did work. If not attempt to uninstall it, or just await a solution.
