Got this myself on my phone, and it just refused to update. Here's what worked for me.

Edit: this seems to be an issue that Facebook understand. It's a concern with the Facebook application, as well as not a generalised Play Store concern.

This is what helped me at least.

  1. Settings > Apps > All > Google Play Shop, Clear data as well as Clear cache

  2. Settings > Apps > All > Google Play Solutions > Manage room, Clear all information as well as Clear cache


It doesn't injured if you reactivate your phone prior to you try upgrading facebook once again. And, the mount was SLOW. Just at the very least 4-5 minutes. However, it did work. Otherwise attempt to uninstall it, or merely wait on a solution.
