Got this myself on my phone, and it just declined to upgrade. Below's what benefited me.

Edit: this seems to be an issue that Facebook are aware of. It's an issue with the Facebook app, as well as not a generalised Play Store problem.

This is what benefited me at the very least.

  1. Settings > Apps > All > Google Play Store, Clear information and also Clear cache

  2. Settings > Applications > All > Google Play Services > Manage room, Clear all data and also Clear cache


It doesn't hurt if you restart your phone before you attempt upgrading facebook once again. And also, the install was SLOW. Just at the very least 4-5 mins. Yet, it did work. If not try to uninstall it, or simply wait for a fix.
