Facebook went offline for many users on Thursday, with the world's most preferred social media informing users that "something went wrong".
When going to Facebook.com, instead of seeing the regular homescreen or information feed, users were welcomed with a blank screen and also a short error message.
" Sorry, something failed. We're servicing it and we'll get it repaired as quickly as we can," the message checks out.
The failure began at around 5.30 pm BST yet, for the majority of individuals, appeared to have been solved around 20 mins after.
