Got this myself on my phone, and it just refused to update. Below's what benefited me.

Edit: this appears to be a concern that Facebook know. It's a problem with the Facebook application, as well as not a generalised Play Store problem.

This is what worked for me at the very least.

  1. Settings > Apps > All > Google Play Store, Clear information and also Clear cache

  2. Settings > Apps > All > Google Play Solutions > Manage space, Clear all information and Clear cache


It doesn't harmed if you reboot your phone prior to you attempt upgrading facebook once more. And also, the set up was SLOW. Just at the very least 4-5 mins. However, it did job. If not attempt to uninstall it, or merely await a fix.
