Got this myself on my phone, as well as it just rejected to update. Here's what helped me.

Edit: this seems to be a concern that Facebook are aware of. It's a concern with the Facebook app, and also not a generalised Play Shop issue.

This is what worked for me a minimum of.

  1. Settings > Apps > All > Google Play Shop, Clear information and also Clear cache

  2. Settings > Applications > All > Google Play Provider > Manage area, Clear all information and also Clear cache


It does not harmed if you reactivate your phone prior to you try upgrading facebook again. And, the install was SLOW. Just a minimum of 4-5 mins. But, it did job. If not try to uninstall it, or just await a repair.
