Got this myself on my phone, and it simply rejected to upgrade. Below's what benefited me.

Edit: this seems to be an issue that Facebook understand. It's an issue with the Facebook application, as well as not a generalised Play Shop issue.

This is what benefited me a minimum of.

  1. Settings > Applications > All > Google Play Shop, Clear information as well as Clear cache

  2. Settings > Apps > All > Google Play Provider > Manage space, Clear all information as well as Clear cache


It does not hurt if you reboot your phone before you attempt upgrading facebook once again. As well as, the install was SLOW. Just a minimum of 4-5 mins. Yet, it did work. If not attempt to uninstall it, or simply wait for a fix.
